Presented by: DJ Booth & GoodMusicAllDay - Features 12 NEW Tracks! (Tracklist after the jump!)
And here goes the other new mixtape that I was looking forward to more than Weezy's today! Just like how Legit's shouldn't be slept on, AudioDax's Pop Rocks shouldn't be as well, but for different reasons. AudioDax is an electro-hip hop duo that we've been posting on since they became a group at DePauw University, and with Pop Rocks, they continue to develop their unique sound, style, and contrast between the two. All of the beats are derived from producer and AudioDax vocalist Temble, who crafts a majority of uptempo, electro, and even dub-step inspired sounds for Pop Rocks. And yes, he sings many of the hooks and verses along the way, with his partner-in-crime Krypton Flo rockin' the fast and intellectual raps.
On Pop Rocks almost every single one of the 12 tracks stands out for one reason or another. There's the feel-good summertime jam "Cruise Control", the varied tempos in "Rewind", the Mike Posner co-signed "Cheated RMX", and the reflective, more slowed-down conclusion "Walking In The Rain". And that's just a few of the tracks from Pop Rocks, when I could go on about how all 12 blend together seamlessly in cohesion. I can immediately see the single potential with a lot of tracks from Pop Rocks that will also translate really well to a hyped live crowd. This project solidifies the potential that the Texas-born Temble and Chicagoan Krypton Flo have together going forward and I'm excited to see what moves are next for them out in L.A. Stay tuned to Gowhere this week for our upcoming interview with AudioDax so you can get to know and see the two faces of the group and hear them talk about Pop Rocks and more as we caught up with them here in Chi-Town a few weeks back before their move. But until then, pop Pop Rocks into your libraries and see if you can catch their fresh vibe.
I’m impressed, I have to admit. Genuinely rarely should
i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you
have hit that the nail to the head. Your notion is outstanding; the problem is an
element that not enough everyone is speaking intelligently
about. We’re happy that I stumbled across
this inside my try to locate some thing relating
to this.
