Watch me break it down at Columbia College here in Chicago, as I speak on writing for music with co-panelists that include Brian DiCrescenzo, Music Editor of Time Out
Chicago, Laura Emerick, Chicago Sun-Times Arts Editor, memoirist and
former frontwoman for Zuzu’s Petals Laurie Lindeen, and Fiction Writing
Department faculty member and Ray Bradbury biographer Sam Weller.
Thanks to everyone that came out for this and asked questions, as it was a really interesting discussion about the past, present, and more importantly the future of writing for music. The panelists ranged from a wide variety of different publications and expertise, which made for a very nice comparison on the different types of music critics out there and their opinions on the field. Check out a mashup clip above, and big thanks to Teresa Puente for the invite!
