Wow what a great video reppin’ the city of CHICAGO! All done shot within the city, it artistically shows a few of the GO Gems mashing perfectly with the sick Ye track. I really appreciate the effort from Kanye to consistently push his work in terms of design, aesthetics, color,
medium, and unique storytelling. It enriches the tracks THAT much more to have artistic videos follow up his Grammy winning album GRADUATION. It creates the next level, and makes other artists strive to reach it/surpass it.
Much love to the GO, and Ye’ for such a awesome end piece. Props to You Seen It Here First.
In support for the GO, some of you may know that Chicago is a 2016 applicant for the Olympics, and to ensure that the Olympics are held there please go HERE and vote to support the bid! There are a few other cities that are running for it, but let’s bring it in to the GO cuz’ believe me ya’ll want to come see Summertime CHI! Hah, I designed the above poster for the GO in support of it all above, and hopefully the city can use it to promote the bid, and bring it home to the Chi.
Also Chi related, check these sweet kicks commemorating Michael Jordan’s brief baseball career with the Birmingham Barons in 1993-94 when Jordan left the NBA after his father’s murder. Jordan’s father had always wanted to see his son play baseball, so in honor of his father Jordan gave it a shot. The numbers near the heel (3 and 51) represent the amount of home runs and RBI’s Jordan had and the “BB” stands for Birmingham Barons. GOtt em at St. Alfred’s on Milwaukee in the Chi; I’m so glad I got these cuz’ the retro ones are my steez, and the stitchin’/color scheme is sickk on em’. Wow- Much LOVE!

This might be my favorite Estelle track up above as it’s everything I expected and more from another collaboration with labelmate boss and my favorite R&B singer - John Legend! It is a touching song with awesome lyrics, vocals, and a laid-back beat enhanced with a bass in the background that I like a lot. The track will be appearing on Estelle’s upcoming album, Shine, and the last track from the album that we’ll post. The album is in stores for all you GWHH fans out there in the U.K. and it won’t be hitting the States until April 29th. Definitely a MUST-DL above!
Below, you should DL a well-produced track by some of my favorite R&B producers - Tim & Bob - that is a collaboration of Bobby Valentino and Lil’ Wayne. That’s another nice track I like. There’s also a couple vids I can hit ya with 2day including a John Legend performance of the U2 classic, “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” that he did for a History Channel special on Martin Luther King, Jr. that will be airing on April 6th at 8 ET/7 CT. Old School Sundays, happenin kinda late I know, but it’s up with a MUST-DOWNLOAD hip hop track above! The mainstream hip hop fans might not be familiar with the hip hop duo Dead Prez, but they are well-respected throughout hip hop and the track above is by 1/2 of the duo M-1 with guest verses and vocals from K’naan & Stori James. The track came out in 2006 and I was actually introduced to it on the NBA Live 07 soundtrack, haha. But it is a great track that was one of my Tibs Favs Of 2006! I just love the message and the awesome chorus in this song and all you hip hop fans gotta DL this great example of good hip hop!
Below is a video that my roomy and his buddies made back in the summer of last year as they wrote a ridiculous rap song for the fun of it. Haha, it’s got some hilarious one-liners and u should def check it out.
